Dearborn Buyer Agency Services: Steve Hatfield, Realtor:
A Certified Residential Specialist (CRS) is a REALTORŪ who has earned certification from the Council of Residential Specialists by completing a rigorous course of advanced training, and by meeting significant experience requirements.
Only 5% of all REALTORSŪ in the U.S. can call themselves a Certified Residential Specialist. That's because just one in 20 has the extensive experience, the unique commitment to the real estate business and the hours of advanced training necessary to call themselves a Certified Residential Specialist.
A Mix of Experience & Sales:
A hallmark of Certified Residential Specialists isn't just the advanced training and education they receive. Just as important is the marketplace expertise they bring to the sale or purchase of your home. To earn the Certified Residential Specialist Designation, every REALTORŪ must have a significant mix of experience and a number of real estate transactions.
The Highest Standard of Ethics:
Ethics aren't just important in a REALTORŪ. They 're essential. That's why every Certified Residential Specialist is required to maintain membership in the NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORSŪ and to abide by its strict code of Ethics. That means, when you work with a Certified Residential Specialist, you can rest assured you're dealing with a trained real estate expert who will treat you fairly and professionally every step of the way.
A Focus on Home Buying and Selling:
Whether you're looking to buy or sell a home, you face many risks along the way. Financial risk, legal risk, even the risk that a home purchase or sale will fall through. A Certified Residential Specialist is trained to minimize the risk.
With that in mind, a Certified Residential Specialist is guaranteed to bring you the benefits of their significant experience and variety of successful real estate transactions. That expertise, combined with advanced education in areas like finance, technology, and marketing, lets you know that your Certified Residential Specialist is able to make your home purchase or sale a success in every way.
Technology is changing the face of real estate. Computers, the Internet, mobile communications - each have helped make the market more efficient, and at the same time more daunting. More than ever, the success of your home purchase or sale depends on the ability of your REALTORŪ to harness that technology, and make it work for you.
For that reason, the training required of your Dearborn MI Certified Residential Specialist focuses extensively on technology and its effect on the real estate business. You can count on a Certified Residential Specialist not just to understand technology, but also to use it to make your home purchase or sale a worry-free experience.
Ability to Maximize Profits and Minimize Cost
Buying a home isn't simply about paying the lowest price. And selling a home isn't just about getting the money you asked for. Along the way, there are fees, taxes, and numerous other costs that can impact the bottom line of your home purchase or sale.
A Certified Residential Specialist is trained specifically to help you understand the marketplace, negotiate successfully on your behalf and get a clear picture of a proposed transaction. The result is a more rewarding experience, whether you're buying or selling, or both.
e-PRO is an Internet-based training/certification program that was launched in June 2000. The program was developed by NAR (NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF REALTORSŪ) in partnership with WebSuite.com, a Seattle-based on-line education company. The e-PRO certification program is offered in conjunction with Realtor University and is the real estate industry's first comprehensive technology certification program endorsed by NAR for real estate professionals.
The program's course work is conducted entirely online. Real estate professionals who earn the e-PRO certification are considered to be "Certified Internet Professionals" as they have learned the necessary skills and behaviors to successfully make a smooth transition into the age of the Internet. The e-PRO training course was designed to teach effective on-line marketing, publishing on the web, evaluating ISP's, email and other forms of web communication. The course also covers topics including using the web to find and deliver information, issues such as Internet risk, disclosure, privacy statements, and other jurisdictional concerns. In addition, the e-PRO course also covers on-line transaction management, the paperless transaction, and running a real estate business on the Internet. Realtors who earn the e-PRO certification are required to comply with stringent on-line behavioral guidelines and will need to re-certify periodically to maintain the certification.
If you are looking for assistance with your home purchase or sale, you can be assured that a REALTORŪ with the e-PRO certification will have the knowledge and skills to put the power of the Internet behind your real estate transaction.
